On January 8, 2009, the Religious Institute on Sexual Morality, Justice, and Healing and the Union Theological Seminary released its study entitled “Sex and the Seminary: Preparing Ministers for Sexual Health and Justice.”
Thanks to the pioneering work of a number of faculty members, administrators, Kolot, and its director, Lori Lefkovitz, RRC is among only ten seminaries nationwide that meet the study’s criteria for:
- practicing a progressive approach to sexuality content in the curriculum
- institutional commitment to sexuality and gender equity
- advocacy and support for sexuality-related issues
